Listen Server--- Password question

Got a simple server working just using the one in
I have 3 friends and they entered my IP address in Xfire to get in the server. I tried to set up a password as either 4 numbers or 4 letters but it always came back invalid password when my friends tried to join. Without a password it worked fine.

If your using numbers,don't use numpad to enter the numbers,use the keys across the top.

And this may or may not make a difference, but be sure they try it using the : and "port" number as well (ie. IP.IP.IP.IP:PORT#)...or, if they are using the port number, have them try without it.

When I used 4 numbers for the password I didn't use the numpad.
I noticed there are 12 spaces for the password. Does it have to be 12 characters long???
Haven't tried including the : port number yet but will.
I ASSUME you don't have to use all 12 characters.....
And again..... without a password everything functions fine and my friends can join.
Just have to figure out the password situation....

OK.... got it figured out. To set up as Listen Server through Multiplayer you have to use Favorites to join the Listen Server. In the Listen Server setup in Multiplayer "Dedicated" is NO. People who want to join in have to add the person's IP address to their Favorites list. The joining person clicks the password button at the bottom of the screen and puts in the password BEFORE entering the server. Everythings working great with it now!!!!!!! Yahoo
