If we could limit our discussions to game issues and not attack other people, that'd be great.

IMO, "camping" is just a word people use to give voice to their frustration that others aren't playing the game in the same way that they are.

Don't get me wrong, I'm constantly on the move---swimming through the map like a shark---But, I have no problem with someone deciding to take some ground and hold it. That's the basis for warfare, not some new tactic devised for video games.

I think both game modes offer something desireable, yet I wish they'd only implemented one. Why? Well, IMO it divides the playerbase. I have trouble finding a nearby server during primetime hours because they are either full, empty or playing a game mode I don't prefer. Also, folks start to form strong opinons based on their preferences and this polarizes the game.

In a way, CoD4 rocks because of all the variety it has, but there are so many 'options' to be had it can work against it too. The guys I've been playing with have very strong opinions about maps and I like all of them...

IMO i just think HC is too cheap, it doesnt really show who is the better player because if you shoot first you usually win.

I guess its more realistic in the fact that you dont need to be a better rifleman in real life to beat your opponent.

I do nto understand why people hate campers. They're generally easy frags, and ferreting them out is rewarding.

Hardcore mode is, to me, like taking vanilla BF2 and putting in the PR damage system, along with PR weapon damage. It would be a nightmare. Hardcore isn't nearly as bad as that would be, but it is similar. Hardcore is no replacement for a real realism mod.

Fish, from what it seems like, you have been playing against some real n00bs, really, Hardcore mode IS easy when your up against people who are used to normal mode, or can't adjust. maybe if you find a hardcore server, 5 v 5 with some real hardcore players, you will actually see the skill involved in being silent and picking off enemies. Also from what it seems like you are playing against people with the memory of a fish, if they are dumb enough to go straight back to the place you were camping and not kill you then they truly are n00bs. Camping on hardcore, isn't truly camping, it's, Find a spot, get a quick kill, move, find another good spot, kill, move etc, then with UAV move a bit more intensely to really get under the nerves of the other team.

Think someone else already posted up above, you got xfire? I would love a game against you!

Alright. Well somewhere on here an admin posted that topics shouldn't be started that induce said flaming. This is one. Seriously I've been on these forums for a long time, and people that just openly come out and say something sucks, it's an open invitation for people to start a flame war.


And please, don't insult my intelligence. I can almost garentee that I have a have a higher IQ score than you. Seriously. But I tend not to bring the intelligence into these forums.

And if you must know, I have a 157 IQ and my ASVAB for the Airforce was a 98 overall. But that wouldn't matter here would it? Because flaming someone is a SURE indicator of someone's intellectual abilities.

maybe its just me, comming from BF2 and BF2142 where camping was fround upon and thought the same mentality would be in cod4...

This basically sums it up. CoD4 is different. Personally I don't know why people get so agro about campers, it's only a game and besides usually they're always in the same spot. As to HC or normal mode, I just adept.

there you go again... no one is flaming anyone on this thread, i or anyone else has not personally attacked anyone who disagrees with my opinion.. there are many threads that are still open on ongoing in the TOTAL FORUMS that people say somthings sucks.. if an admin deems this thread to be closed that is for him to decide.
