Showdown map issues

Everytime I go to load this map I freeze 3/4 of the way thru and get this error message: Fastfile for zone 'mp_showdown' appears to be corrupt or unreadable (code 107.) I then have to close the game go back in and reset all of my settings, graphical and sound wise. I used to be able to play that map until somewhere around the 1.2 patch was loaded on my PC. Any clue as to how to fix this?

Best bet is probably to make a backup save of your Profiles folder on your desktop (to keep your saved games and multi-player ranks), then uninstall, and re-install COD4. Apply the patch you want (either v1.3 or 1.4 (newest)), then copy/paste the Profiles folder back in.
