I have wireless for my computer, but I usually keep it wired, and only use the wireless when I get to cold in my room and want to move into the living room or play something on our TV.

Isn't Loosing Key Packets your internet/network settings not PB? Because your computer is not receiving all the packets that your modem/w/e is sending it (may be wrong).

its your connection dude, wireless or hardwired either one, loosing packets means your connection sucks TBH.

            check into that.

welp, i wasnt bein an azz or nothing, but if you done all the checks & updated correct then it has to be your connection or something along that line, cause if it was PB itself we all would be screaming.

                  1. Go to
                  xxx:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb

Create a file called pbcl.cfg as follows:
                  pb_Sleep 500
                  pb_system 1
                  pb_LogToFile 1
                  pb_SsLog 1
                  pb_SsSave 1

                  2. Get win_mtr (google it) and check how much packet loss you have to the game server

Router's do die so there is a big chance it may be your connection when you get that message. Have you tried it on an other PC? It's not a problem with punkbuster as I can still play without a problem, along with many other gamers.

You can do #1 ingame, just put it into the console.

I'm going to throw a spanner in the works and suggest that your ISP may have started traffic shaping/filtering. This aims to pick up data used in programs deemed less important such as P2P packets.

Could well be the software on the ISP's gateway routers is picking up Punkbuster packets as low priority data, and thus sending them very slowly, or even blocking them. (Yes, some ISP's feel the need to block data such as P2P)

This happened to me when using Ventrillo. Its data was blocked. I rang Tiscali, explained the situation, and they fixed it.... albeit three weeks later, but hey.
