    Server Browser dropping Internet?

Occasionally, when I hit the Refresh List button on the server browser, it will drop my internet connection totally. Ventrilo, Xfire, even browsers won't work, but pinging will. I have to let it sit for 5 minutes or so to regain functionality.

There's talk on this forum and over on IW's forums regarding the server browser really affecting your internet connection. I guess we'll wait for 1.5 to see if they fix it.

      Yes, it does.

I consider Patch 1.4 to be a virus: not only has it attacked CoD4, it also attacks your internet connection.

I personally haven't seen any connection problems and haven't seen any problems with the 1.4 patch myself other than the server browser problem, which has existed since the game came out.

It's because of the router. The server browser sends out tons of requests and the router gets clogged up. Usually a high end router will have no problem with it. It happens on Steam too but you can reduce the request rate.
