Mod warfare?

i was browsing the multiplayer menu and clicked on mods. There was a mod in there called mod warfare. Any idea what this is?

I believe that is just an edited version of CoD4. Something has been changed in the game to no longer make it ranked, but still be CoD4.

Like, sniper only kits or certain perks turned off.

At least, to me, they look the same other than something missing.

I've played there before. They have preconfigured kits and limited perk selections to level the playing field.

Also, after playing there, I had some other changes to my game I was not real happy with. The least irritating was that my custom kits got messed up. The most irritating was that something changed the way the game started up and screwed it up just a little. I had to reinstall to put everything back to normal. It wasn't 'necessary' as it was still playable...

I suggest that you only load modded servers with a different profile than your main MP profile.

I guess if you're holding a LAN party of some sort, ModWarfare could prove useful, as you don't need unlocks: you get to choose what you start off with before you spawn, try it out. Like Rob said, it levels the playing field.
