Punkbuster issues!

This has happened to me several times and I am starting to loose my patience with this. Today (sunday)I was rocking in game. In one round, I got the titan defend pin, titan defend badge (15 defense points), explosives kill pin and bronze badge!!! I probably even got the last hour needed for my gold recon badge. Just before the round ended, I got a message reading -Punkbuster...Missing Pockets- Then I was kicked. I don't cheat. I wouldn't have the slightest idea on how to mod the game or even hack to cheat but I seem to have this quite often. I don't mind so much if this is a glitch, I was recieving quite a bit of lag on that server which is quite rare. I'm just concerned about not getting credit for my hard work. Does anyong know if I will recieve my rewards once the server updates. I know it takes a bit on the weekends. ANd if anyone knows how to prevent this from happening again, i'm all ears.

Download the PB Updater from evenbalance.com website. I would guess this fixes the "Missing Packets" error.

Thanks man. I'll get that done now. Do you know if that progress will carry over eventhough I got "punked"?

You didn't get punked. Your PB Client was probably out of date and tried to update itself. And that didn't work, so it gave you that message. Not sure if that's what causes these errors. But it's never wrong to update the PB Client if you encounter problems with PB itself.

I updated the PB file. I just logged back in and everything updated.

Sometimes you will get the 'punkbuster' message - doesn't always follow that you were kicked via punkbuster. Just lazy admin!

Yes, but the "Missing Pockets" is a technical error message, whereas the lazy admin should look something like "You've been banned for excessive teamkilling or by an admin decision"

Sometimes I just get a 'punkbuster' message with no explanation. I know I'm as clean as a whistle

I've gotten the weirdest PB errors the past week... MD5 Tool Error, Failed Heartbeats and a whole bunch of other things that I have never gotten before. I update my PB Manually, weekly.

i got the heartbeats to. and my brother got kicked by punkbuster by cheating. he only blew an enemie through a wall with rdx.

That sounds more like an admin kick... PB doesn't kick for cheating, it kicks because it failed in some area of its service. If an admin kicks you, you get a PB Message anyway, cause its more convenient to do an In-Game PB kick than it is to use the CC.

yeah i know but it looked the same way it looks like if pb crashes/fails to do something(like banning me). and i am banned by hackers. 2 guys i thought x'act xXfightclubXx and some other bloke came on the server and immediate banned me. but he isn't an admin on the server. they keep on kicking/banning me if they are online and as soon they leave i can play on the server again. its really weird. i dont know who banned me all i know it was done by someone from x'act both of the guys who came online were from x'act. did anyone else had a problem that suddenly the master server and all the other servers crashed?

Strange that since last week, I have also started getting PB#132 Comfail, followed by Heartbeat Stopped. Anyone knows how to solve this?
