How do you get special forces to work?

I got Battlefield 2 a while ago and I just noticed from reading the booklet for the first time that I don't have any of the special forces maps for my singleplayer and I also don't have the things like grappling hook, zipline or all that other stuff. I bought my BF3 in the collection version that had all the stuff in it including SF AF and EF. How do you get SF to work?

1.Click on the desktop link for Special Forces after you have installed it.
    2.Create a shortcut.
    "F:\Path to BF2 Installation\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/xpack +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
    3. Join any of the following servers, make sure you launch BF2 and have same mod unchecked. You can join them by typing in the IP and port to the server on the BF2 Server Browser. If you have Special Forces installed correctly it will automatically switch to Special Forces.

Just install the Special Forces Expansion and then install patch 1.41 again. Shortcut should appear automagically during install, you don't need to create anything yourself.

Special Forces (unlike EF/AF) is a separate "mod" from vanilla BF2 so you need to start it from its own shortcut (or select it from the community - custom games tab in the game). SF maps aren't mixed with vanilla maps.

First, you need to install BF2.
Second, you need to install the expansions you want.

Third, once the expansions have been installed and you will need to edit there shortcuts so they look like this.

Right click the shortcut and then click properties, now in the first line of text that you can edit, delete whats in there and put this.
(THIS IS FOR SF and any other mod, just rename the aix bit with the mod's name, if its sf then put xpack) "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/aix +Playnow 1

Once you've done that click ok and play!
