Black Mesa Source is an upcoming mod with no prior releases as it is a SP mod that is based off of the original Half-Life that spawned the sequel Half-Life 2. Using the Source engine, Black Mesa Source will recreate the Half-Life universe so that the original Half-Life will be renewed in order to accomplish the fullest potential in terms of art detail, level sizes and code features. Black Mesa Source will not require Half-Life: Source to play - only legitimate copies of Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source on Steam.
Anyway, I am not part of the team working on this mod but it looks HOT, And for all you original Half-Life players out there who still love to play through it because of the story and gameplay will surely love to see all of it's old glory renewed with better graphics using the Source engine. All the multiplayer maps will also be redone. New people have already been hired to play the voices and basically everything is being done from scratch.
