Kicked by PB after new patch

After installing the new patch I get kicked by PB after 10 seconds, it says: RESTRICTION: Service Communication Service: PnkBstrA.exe
What the bell does that mean? It does that on every server I've tried.

It means that PB is not running. PnkBstrA.exe is a program which runs in the background...

Go to www.evenbalance.com and download the latest version and reinstall.

Did you manually update PB? Try reinstalling PB? Did you search for this error? I know I've seen others with it.

Yup, what he said. Look for instructions that include using pbsetup.exe as opposed to the manual installation instructions that are also available.

This happens to me on all patches. Basically find the server you want, and then as soon as you begin to join alt+tab out fo the game, and allow it through your firewall. Maybe that's what's happening to you, because I know my firewall absolutely HATES PB...

I just don't get why it suddenly stopped working, I have done nothing but installing the new patch...Gotta figure out what to download and install.

This is THE easiest way: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

The link is to PBSetup.exe and is the easiest way to maintain your PB installation.

I have now manually updated PB but that didn't help...this can not be true

Yeah, but I just did that and I still get the same error.

Well, now that we know that, it's got to be something else.

If you check your running processes, can you see PnkBstrA.exe in the list?

That's another sticky we need to put up in the Support section...for PB issues, most will be solved either by users running

                          pbsetup.exe

                          or

                          pbsvc.exe

Wasn't it you Whiskey who posted the com_maxfps 400 command here somewhere?

Anyways, i used it and the weird part was that i went in some random server today and saw message saying "com_maxfps set to 400. Limit 40 - 250"

I don't know if that is just the server, but that must be the most stupidest reason for pb kick ever...
