server browser not fixed

I have not downloaded yet due to Steam, is this happeneing for anyone else currently?

Works for me...set my filters (only populated servers, only dedicated, no password, no mods, and current (patch 1.4) version), press Refresh...took about 3 seconds to communicate with the Master Server, then got 660 servers as a result. Seems reasonable, given the criteria I set above.

Also you need to keep in mind how many servers are actually patched at this point.

If the "server" isn't a PC in your house or something you have colocated chances are pretty good that you have to wait for your server provider to get the patch ready for you. Since most people just rent servers, they have to wait a while (maybe 12-24 hours maximum depending on the size of the patch, some GSP's are much quicker) to patch.

I would try again this evening b/c most servers will have had plenty of time to patch and see if you don't get better results.

If you're talking about your old favourites, from before the patch, they're gone...the game can only display servers that match the current version you have.

If you've added new favs since patching to v1.4, but they are not showing up, then it's possible that they haven't fixed that bug yet. I don't think we ever got a list of exactly what was fixed in the browser...only that some improvements were made. It's probably going to be an ongoing project for awhile.

For me the filters don't work at all now...they did before the patch. No matter how I configure my filters I get 4520 serves when I refresh...that's just great.

I just want a filter for Hardcore and Normal... I like to play both but when I have to join a server to tell what type it is, it suck's.. I really don't believe they didnt fix this in 1.4

im thinking 1.4 is a beta patch personally, because they have to release another patch to disable Winter Crash after the holidays right? I think in this patch, 1.41, we will see what we want.

Not really...it's the Crash map, with night-time time-of-day lighting, and Christmas lights, but its the same layout.

I speculated in another thread that they might release a patch in the New Year that would disable the map, but perhaps re-release a simple night-version of it (and perhaps other maps! :) ) to expand our selection.

Whiskey, I meant... the old crash is still there, so you don't need to "remove it" to play regular crash, right?

The only thing they did to the browser is that you now see:

443/4545 server found.

So you can see how many servers you have already found and how many servers you could find.
Not a pretty devastating change...
