I just bought battle field 2 the other day, becasue my friend has been nagging me for some time to get it, so i did. This is my laptop ->

Every time i go to start it as the administrator the a screen comes up says battle field 2 then i hear my cd drive boot up and hear the disk spining.... then the screen goes black like the game is going to start but doesnt.... and the cd drive stops and the game doesnt load..... SOME ONE PLEASE HELP OR I WILL BE LESS ONE BATTLE FIELD 2 GAME...

These are the ones listed so you can assume anything higher than the most recent in those models is supported...onboard intel chipsets is not supported.

Actually, the X3100 can sometimes run BF2. It's a longshot, but some people have gotten it to work, from what I hear. Try searching the forums some. Try 965 and x3100.

EDIT: It's the GMA950 and earlier chipsets that WILL NOT run BF2.

if your running Vista the right click the bf2 icon and run program as Admin and you should be fine... I have a laptop with Vista and it gave me the same crap but got by with this simple fix.
