First Strike is an excellent Star Wars mod that is based in episodes 4 5 and 6. The Developers have created Galactic Conquest for Battlefield 1942 and they have now moved on to Battlefield 2142 with First Strike. Currently there are 6 maps, the maps are:
Escape from Hoth
Endor Strike Team
Battle of Talorran
Tatooine Mos Espa
Encounter at Mos Enthna
There are many more maps yet to be created including Hoth
The next patch is said to be released around Christmas and it will be including the Battle of Yavin (Death Star) and another map.
Before you install the mod please read the following.
First Strike does not support Single Player
To see servers go to your advanced tab and make sure all of your filters except for same mod are turned off.
You must have Battlefield 2142 patch 1.25 and 1.4 installed
Make sure you downloaded the First Strike 1.01 Client file
When you launch the installer it will say that First Strike does not support patch 1.4 Select Ignore and the mod will work.
All of these problems will be fixed when the next First Strike patch is released :)
