Alright, the 1.3 patch still don't work, but it works on my brothers computer
(Same disk and everything). The only difference is he has XP, could Vista be my problem?
There are no differences between the two OS's when it comes to patches for COD4 - there isn't a patch for XP, and a separate one for Vista...it's the same patch for both.
What I suspect is that there is a Vista security setting on your PC that is blocking the file application/giving the incorrect "digital-version" error, or that you're possibly not logged in as Administrator with all-access. (?)
At any rate, you need to find out what that setting is. Try Googling to see if other gamers have this issue (likely, they are), or logging a support question/ticket with Activision Tech Support to see if they can help.
