    Sound Codec?

    Hey guys,
I was recently modding some of the original BF2 sounds, like the jet engine .wavs/.ogg's and the machine gun. However, once I start playing, the sounds are VERY high pitched and very staticy. When I save a .wav file, what compression do I use (Hz. wise, etc).

    Examples:
    heatseeker_lock_warning.wav
    autocannon_3p.wav

    Thanks!

    hello :)
try having your sounds in 16bit 44khz Wav format and convert them to OGG files using the BF2 Ogg tool

    http://files.filefront.com/Bf2+Sound.../fileinfo.html

    hope that helps

Alright, I got the .ogg and .wav to work with vegas before you posted

However I couldn't get the menu music to work my way, so I will try it using your converter later. (The music was silent)
