When I'm patching CoD4, it will say that mss32.dll was not found...

Anyone know how to fix it?

I've tried that, just don't know which file to extract it to. Do you know?

Did you click on the link in the sentece that reads: "We also recommend you to read the tutorial how to unzip and install the files."


EDIT: to help you out, I just read it over myself, and did a search of files on my PC. It looks like the location you need to extract the mss32.dll file is right into the Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare directory.

I followed the instructions and when I extracted it, it said access denied... :l

Where are you trying to extract it to? Try to put it on your desktop, then cut/paste it into the COD4 directory.

If you're using Vista, or have certain security settings on your PC, it's possible that it's reading the .dll extension and trying to block it.

Yes I am using Vista, and that's where I think all my problems are coming from.

I tried installing it to C:\Windows\System32
Like it said on the instructions.

EDIT: It still says the same bullcrap about how it still can't find mss32.dll
