Patches

Hello, every time I try to install any patch for Call of Duty 4, I get this message:



Now, Everybody says it's from downloading the game from Direct 2 Drive.
But I bought this game at the store, I got the case and everything..

Does anybody know why my patches don't work?

Did you download the patch from the official Infinity Ward site link?

If not, there's a chance you may have gotten a patch for the e-version, and that may be giving you this error. (?)

Well I've gone to Auto-Update then it took me to a bunch of different sites to
choose from, but I never actually tried downloading from the actual IW site.

May you get me a link please?

Hmm...the IW site link seems broken...but here are 2 other reliable links that are for sure aimed at the disc-version of the game:

Doesn't work man, it says the exact same thing when I'm installing it.

Did you use the v1.1 or 1.2 patches previously, and did they work?

Are you using a no-disc cracked exe by any chance?

If all else fails, you may want to make a backup save of your profiles folder, then uninstall/re-install the game, then try the 1.3 patch again.

I remember trying 1.2 and the same happened.
I'll try installing them in order, if it still fails, I shall re-install.


EDIT:I got 1.2 to work, but i still don't got 1.3...
