200th time its froze.....now im fed-up!!!!!!!

I'th been playing battlefield 2142 for over a year now, my computer can only just play it on low settings. After just a few months of playing it i had problems, and its been happening for AGES, it just keeps dam freezing!!!!! i have just gotten used to not playing titan or using any kind of air transport because it just freezes!!! but now after the 200th time i am fed-up with it.
I think it could be my graphics card or drivers or something else like that, im just fed-up of pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get it back to desktop and end the program. it just says "programe is not responding"

I haven’t played on it a while, and i have tried to play on it on multiplayer but now the punkbuster "fails?" and either kicks me off or freezes!!!!!!!
I am still running on the 1.25 patch and update because i can't be bothered installing a new update if its just going to make things worse!!!

I would really Appreciate some advise on what i can do before i try and re-install the game and then install it again to see if that makes any difference .:hmm:

Umm, I'd try to install 1.40 anyway. I've had much less crashes and lag since I patched up the game.

Also, how many servers can you see in 1.25? I thought most had moved on to 1.40...

2 things I can think of.
1. Get a better gfx card or

That link is mostly for freezing during map loading but I've heard that is works for any random freezing/crashing.
I used to have this problem as well.

That second link work for a while but after a while I just figuired that I had no choice but to get a new gfx card, and well now I did. and since there has been no crashing and, well I froze a few times during map loading but I fixed it with the second link. Other than that while playing, no freezing or crashing :).

I can only see 4 at the most......so im soohn gonig to change to the 1.40. by tht way all i have seen is the 1.40 update, is there a patch that does along with it like 1.25?
