I just completed the WiC campaign and it was one of the best RTS campaigns I have ever played. It was very interesting and after the first 2 missions the game seemed to retain the same difficultly level throughout the campaign so I never got stuck on anything or had to do something that only an expert could do (Played on the Normal difficult) and never once failed a mission although I did come close to it at Pine Valley and the stealth aircraft crash.
The only thing I did not like about it was that it didn't really seem like "America the Battlefield" It was more like Washington state the battlefield since 9 out of the 14 missions were in Washington and one mission in New York (out on the islands not inside the city) and the rest in Europe. I like how in Red Alert 2 they had you playing in all parts of the country (Colorado,Chicago,St. Louis,New York, Florida, Hawaii)
So what I wanted to know from the community is what you think is going to happen next in the campaign? I think the new Campaign should start out like this....
Background
After a successful recapture and securing of Seattle, American troops celebrate as they hear that the Chinese fleet has decided to turn back but these celebrations would be short lived as the war was far from over. A few hours later after the news had been delivered power outages had occurred all over western Canada. It seemed like a normal power outage at first but it turned out to be part of a Chinese hat trick.
The Chinese knew they could not take a fortified Seattle but with a much less fortified Canada to the north they decide to make an amphibious assault on British Columbia. With the power out the Chinese were able to pretty much land by surprise during the night. The city of Vancouver about 150 miles north of the American occupied Seattle gets swamped quick.
The Canadian forces rally what they can at the nearby town of Chilliwack and within two hours a quite Vancouver night turns into a fireworks display. The U.S. is reluctant to abandon their fortification of Seattle claiming that this could be a deception to draw the main force out of Seattle and thus open up Seattle for an Invasion.
After debate among the American Generals it is decided that Air support will be given along with a few thousand ground personnel but the Ground war will pretty much be a Canadian engagement.
Mission 1: Liberation
Canadian Forces are launching a counter attack to secure Vancouver. Your mission is to clear out the dug in defenders around the Harbor and prevent the Chinese from providing reinforcements. If you fail here then the whole pacific northwest will be ripe for invasion and this time the Soviets will have a beach head to land troops on north america
This would be a mission involving a lot of artillery and tactical aid use.
Mission 2: Battle of the Valdez
After a forced retreat from Vancouver the Chinese and Soviets Launch an assualt on the Alaskan port of Valdez intent on capturing the crucial Alaskan Oil Fields.
Mission 3: Vladivostok by Morning
North and South Korea are at war again and once again it is a stalemate. U.S. and Japanese forces plan to end this stalemate by launching an attack on the Soviet city of Vladivostok. This city will be to the Allies what Seattle was to the Soviets.
Background Update
The Capture of Vladivostok was huge for the Allies but they uncovered some very demoralizing plans. The Battle for Vancouver was all a distraction to keep the U.S. and Canadians from noticing the sneaking in of Soviet forces into canada through the uninhabited areas of Northwestern Canada.
The Soviets soon take over Saskatchewan and Manitoba and soon to proceed south into the Midwestern United States. However contrary to what the Soviet leaders are saying this is hardly a soviet forces with 90% of the vehicles and troops being Chinese. This means that if the U.S. and Canadians are victorious here there will be no army capable of launching an attack on North American and that America can focus on the war on Europe.
Sorry that the post is kind of unorganized I was just typing stuff as it popped into my head.
