Freeze during server load

I've been playing 2142 for a while with no problems. This morning I let Windows XP do an autoupdate and now any time I try to load a game, after I select a server it will start to load and freeze about 2/3 of the way through.

Any idea what is going wrong and how to fix it?

But its almost the same vieuw of how you can do it..

I was having trouble with the control panel part. I just felt my way through it to get it right.

Also, its a completely different view for me. My screen looks nothing like that

Clearing out the cache and changing that file name did it. Thanks. I did search a bit before posting, but since it happened right after the update it seemed to have to do with that. I guess not. . . Thanks.
