Connection time out

Hey, Im just wonder what would be the best setting for our clan's server on the cl _ connection time out? It seem's ever since we got patch 1.3 alot of member's are having a hard time connecting.

You mean the time until the connection times out? You can do that manually on a server? Neat.

Anyway, I reccomend 15-20 seconds. When I was having a tough time connecting, I would always connect around the 10th second, so a few more seconds to help should do the trick.

For some unknown reason, I've been able to connect in an instant. Loading maps are quicker too! How strange.

i rarely dont connect instantly anymore, its staying on the server thats the hard bit.

ohh i like reinstalled my Pb or something and i connect to the server like almost automatically now rocks ma socks touch wood

I have always connected instantly, am i just really lucky?

I guess you are.. It is working alot better for me now. When the patch first came out I could not connect at all most of the time..

Wow i guess i have bee lucky then, i have always connected straight away most of the time.

I had to set my connection attempts to 30 because I frequently connect from 17-25...

My service provider seems to have a snag somewhere...

its likely the firewall. i had this issue, then went into my router and put my PC unprotected DMZ and voila, i connect within a second or two now.

Any variable that begins with cl means it's a client setting. Changing this on your server won't do anything.

Likewise, variables that start with sv are server settings and changing this on your personal computer won't do anything either.
