why cant I get the knife badge?

I killed 54 people so far with a knife and haven't gotten the badge. I'm stuck at some seargant rank and it says i still need the knife badge to advance to the next rank. Why wont it give me the badge?

go to bf2s.com and enter your ingame name, its a GREAT website. you need 7 kills with a knife in one round

u have to kill like 5 or 7 people in a round with the knife to get the basic one.
you dont necessarily need the knife badge to get hte next rank which is probably First sergeant but i suggest it. if u dont get the badge by the time you get 20K points, then ull be with the lowly Master Sergeant and wont be able to get First Sergeant anymore

lol. I got that knife badge way back in the day when you needed 18 knife kills in a round. Now that was difficult/frustrating/root of my drinking problem. Thanks alot EA.

It's kind of backwards that the Basic Knife Badge is the hardest of the set to acquire.

To the OP, the good news is once you do score 7 knife kills IAR, you'll also attain the Veteran Knife Badge at the same time w/ your 51 standing kills.

ya me too. got my 18 in the palace on warlord. can be very frustrating trying to get it.

other times its easy when your not even trying.

i got my gold knife but i use defib when knifing cause people go 0.o shock paddles
