    Mid-air Strafing

    Hello fellow BF2 community.
I recently got back from my break from BF2 and not surprisingly, my skills have gone down.

But anyways, it seems that I face a lot of people that "strafe" in mid-air if you know what I mean. For example, a support would just come out into the open and I'd be shooting him. He stand there and continually jump while strafing in mid-air, making it extremely hard to hit him. He'd get a good view of me, throw a grenade at me then calmly strafe jump back.

Anyways, I was wondering, how may one do this or is there a 'counter' against it?

    Thanks

If your talking about bunny hopping, then just shoot the guy when he lands. Can be hard sometimes but meh..

Nah, im sure hes talking about dolphin diving, really, the best counter measure against this is skill and know where he'll land, or just stay away from supports, or flank them like i usually do, i usually flank 2-3 squads at once :)

Really!!!! 2-3 squads at once? So you flank take on between 12-18 guys at once??

Im sure you meant 2-3 opponents.

To the OP......constant jumping and strafing/going prone can be countered by running crouch firing and constant movement. The minute your opponent begins his jump start running either to the left or right of your opponent. What this does is force your opponent to adjust his aim upon landing. You turn slower in the prone position.

Or you can do the same jump prone manuever as your oponent. Just wait for them to do it first.

Grenades has become the #1 weapon in the game. Guns are useless

Well, i can flank 10-12 people ok, its pretty easy if you know your route and not shoot at everyone you see :)

Its pretty easy to flank ppl on Kakand... 90% of them are looking the same way and throwing nades.

Have any of ya'll ever taked a DPV or FAV and driven laps around Wake? Like from one end of the island and back through the base and to the other end and back again, over and over, regardless of who holds what flags? I did this the other day to let of some steam, have haven't had that much fun on BF2 in quite sometime.

And it's even better if you have a buddy or two you're racing.

Even if you would come close enough to a bunnyhopper you'd still not be able to hit him in a normal fashion due to the hitboxes. If you see a bunnyhopper, usually shooting were he is NOT will render you a kill.

Thats why the shotgun is soooo good at hitting them. The shot sprays enough to cover the dodgey hit boxes.

Haha bunnies are such jerks, I realy don't know what advice to give you.

You could stand still, anticipate where he lands, kill him, and strafe to avoid the grenade. Or as Sike said, shotty. Seriously, if you know how, you can go routes where other players usually don't take. And then come up in CQB and "Get some"!
