    Sniper sway

Certainly there should be a difference between a rifle that weighs barely over 3 kg (R700) and a rifle that weighs 14 kg (cal. 50), but there isn't.
I'm talking about the sway that occurs when you are not holding your breath.

I only played with the Barrett before and thought the sway was absolutely acceptable for its heavy weight, but the R700 weighs less than most of the assault rifles and the sway is the same as the Barrett

It's clear that it's designed this way to prevent sniper rifles from being too strong, but even without sway on the light rifles there wouldn't be a problem as sniping with MGs and assault rifles is actually easier than sniping with sniper rifles.

This constant sway is making me crazy. Sniping is not only useless but also no fun

Are you aware that you can hold your breath? defualt key is Shift, there is also a perk that lets you hold your breath for longer periods, Iron lung I think it's called.

It's just annoying to have so much sway when you look around for targets. When I wanna feel drunk, I drink alcohol.

i see where your coming from, i found it highly annoying trying to scout for enemies on wet works with the thing flying everywhere

though if it was steady when you weren't holding yuour breath then the whole feature of holding your breath would be pointless

i think as far as balancing and overall gameplay goes though it's ok, asking for a change could make it too no0b friendly, CSS AWP sniping easy

Bah, everyones all like... bashing the AWP in CS, and I'm just like... no, its amazing. It does take skill... regardless of what anyone thinks. Its just the people that don't know how to use it, cry when they get shot by it.

I think the .50 cal should be almost unshootable except when prone... same for the other rifles... but not as intense. Kinda like what they did in AAO.

There is just no way a normal human could run and gun with the .50 cal sniper rifle. There should be a penalty for not using in the prone and once in the prone, the sway should be reduced.

I've been a real world strong and healthy soldier. There is no way you can fire that beast on the run. You have to brace for the shot...

But, this is a game and I almost never play Sniper loadouts.

Yes, a 1 hit kill, pin point accurate rifle with what is essentially unlimited range thanks to 4x zoom is obviously a weapon that only a pro can use. It must be so hard for you when all those noobs run around with weapons that don't instantly kill and are so inaccurate.

anyone who cant snipe since the last patch shouldnt be playing, you barely need to aim anymore

                    ohwell

i guess the snipers will be happy when they get their no sway auto aim tank cannons in the next patch

PLEASE dont change the snipers AGAIN, they imo were not broken before and now they already feel point and click!

agreed they shouldnt have dumbed down the sniper rifles the system they had in place was quite good

if anyone hasnt noticed there are visable winds in the game along with grass and dirt that shows wind direction and speed which all effected the sniping pre 1.3

yea i agree with you, i dont think the winds in MP effect the guns at all, its aesthetic only.
