best free or $$ mod for bf2

iv been wanting to play on different maps. in your opinion what is the best mod for me to try. if it counts i have bf2 sp, 2142 and euro forces. thanks.

My advice for you to just get this http://www.modjive.com/ and explore. Oh and btw for $$ mods SF is pretty fun, but a bit more expensive. Armored Fury isn't really worth it though as not many servers play those maps any more, same goes for Euro Forces.

Forgotten Hope 2 is releasing on Friday. It looks absolutely fantastic. And there's a really shallow learning curve, from now till the release they will be providing tutorial videos on all features of it.

So just watch videos until the release comes, then you should be (reasonably) confident in joining a server and not being called a n0Ob.

im watching Forgotten Hope 2. hopefully itll be good and not a major disappointment.

but for now...my fav is Project Reality, but it may not be the game for u. it can be slow at times and u should have a lot of patience and teamwork to enjoy it.

im going to try modjive and of course pr. thanks.

i dl pr and installed it but i dont think its working. the icon on the desktop is the one you get when maybe there is no link to it white with 3 symbols in the center. i did click on it and it does start bf2 ( disk in the drive no exe cracks here ) bf2 will start normally but once i get logged on and go to multiplayer i dont see any different servers or any reference to project reality. changed a couple of filter settings still nothing. the file i dl is pr patch ver 0.61.

also POE2 is a good one, the maps are fantastic and well detailed, and a crapload of new vehicles/weapons to play around with, set in modern times europe with an easy learning curve.

Just download modjive and download the mod with most players. I wonder what mod that is....

Try POE2, in terms of what is what, POE2 is like the "finalized" version of BF2. Its arcady like BF2, but everything in it is better balanced, better made and is just better. Youll get about 150 players at peak time, a sad, sad result for such an awesome mod.

i changed some filters and now i see a few pr servers but when i log on to them, all of them i get the message " you do not have the map which is currently in rotation on this server ". do i need to go to each web site and download the maps or what?
