  • INTEL 30 Pcs and MP44

Ive completed single player and have all 30 pieces of intel, is it supposed to give you anything extra for it?
And why on earth is a MP44 doing in the modern multiplayer assault weapons?
Thats like finding a flintlock in the sniper rifle section.
    Bizarre!

All 30 unlocks the "Infinite Ammo" SP cheat (and all the others as well). Finishing SP gives you Arcade Mode. Try a search, this has been asked before, along with the MP44 discussion.

The others are video effect that you can use during single player gameplay. MP44 is just an icon of the CoD history .

          MP44 is a novelty weapon.

as has been said the MP44 is a novelty weapon, but even in todays conflicts there are alot of WWII weapons hanging around the hands of the terrorist groups, swear i read somewhere that a weapons cache was found with Enfield SMLE's.

so there is a ickle bit of realism behind it as well

Hey guys, what do you think, MP44 is a tribute to COD2 and WWII.

But seriously, the M1 Garand is what should be in there, if there's going to be tribute.

And to what Sars99 said, it's true! Why do they have it? Because body armor is NOTHING against those huge old calibers.

Even M1 Garand would prob go through most body armor, it's bigger then 7.62x54R ammo

First of all the like it is been said many times before the MP44 (a.k.a. Sturmgewehr 44).wos in the cod1 for the first time in the cod sirius.Secondly the MP44 is the grenfather of all the modern weapons like the Ak47.

Wow... Most body armor today, worn by our troops, and police forces (Kevlar primarily) can stop pistol rounds (9mm) and fragments, but thats it.

This new dragon armor stuff is the shiz though... stops rifle rounds. Its expensive though...

Also the MP44 fires an intermediate round, less than a rifle round, but more than a pistol round. A 7.92x33mm, which is less than what the AK fires... which is a 7.92x41mm. :P

The MP44 was put in there as a tribute because it was the first real assault rifle produced, and they felt it was the one weapon that could cross-over effectively to the "modern" genre.

Have you tried the M14 rifle in the game yet? It's like a Garand on steroids. Quite similar, IMO.
