Battlefield 2142 Punkbuster

Alright everyone.
Ok, I bought BF2142 right when it came out, played it allot. then my computer crashed and stopped playing. Now with my new laptop, I downloaded it installed it off EA downloader click Play online and the regular one. I get to the main menu click multiplay chose a server loaded it I clicked join game, maybe 4-5 seconds after I clicked Join game it freezes cause to the server listing and a Punkbuster message comes up -_- Its blank.

I have done everything people have said to do: Run as administrator, I editied my reg. uninstalled/reinstalled the game twice, downlaoded all those PB files, deleted my cache, deleted the punkbuster folder. Everything, and it still wont.. Flippin work!
So after wasting my mornin, i have decided to post here =)
Please read and help me figure this out. I really would like to play!:yay:

Graphics: Nvidea GE 7400

Nope =( It was already on my Allow list
Why is this doing this. It worked fine on my Windows XP

Im running it on XP and i have the exact same problem . God i hate punkbuster!

One more thing, the sound is not working in game. its sound on the intro, but once the log-in screen appairs, the sound is gone What to do?

the same here, in every server i'm getting the "Punkbuster" message with no explanation !!!

I'm using Vista and I was getting the same thing, but my PB logs showed global GUID_ban. Searched EA support and this is what I had to do:

Have you guys checked to see if you are on the PBBans or PunksBusted global ban lists?

try some of the stuff on this thread to see if your punkbuster is working properly and also possible ways to fix the problem. you may need to try updating punkbuster?
