**I'd rather not allow m203 with scopes, but if it gets a scope/silencer... so be it. As of right now 50% of m203 users are cheeseballs and that won't change if they have a scope or not. They will still run around with m203 as their primary and dying when it's OOA**

M203 vs Silencer + reflex/acog, hmm, I'd go for silencer + reflex anyday
Agreed, I was thinking more along the lines of everything staying as is. However, adding a m203 and silencer perk1 talent. It would only be available if you didn't equip either on the weapon already. There in leaving you to play as it is currently or allowing a scope/red dot + silencer/m203 at the cost of perk1.

Toxic_Wolf, no offense, but if you don't know how spectate works... you may not be qualified to make such useless comments as you did.

Specatate is controlled by the server, if you left/right click you can spectate players if the servers allows it, some will allow you fly around as a ghost, and yet others will let you float in spawn. This avoids clans/friends ghosting and ratting out people over vent.

If you like the idea of a silencer at cost of perk 1, say so over here at the IW forum and help get the thread noticed :)

You can kinda get away with a silencer and an m203 in the same load out already.

Prime - Whatever rifle + Silencer
        Second - Whatever rifle + M203
        attachment
        Overkill
        ----- whatever.

Just hit your m203 button to switch to it then scroll up to get back to ur silenced weapon.

Only thing I would would be the Eotech scope, from the SP, It looked awesome!

Although the sound of having, Scope, then silencer replacing first perk sounds interesting, Red Dot + Silencer on a M4 sounds like fun

If you could add another attachment as a perk, it should be tier 2 (the second slot) which forces you to give up stopping power, soh, etc.
Slot 1 would make it too powerful.

spik3d and eliminator, you fail at debates.

Perk 2 may be a better idea l3ad, may even help with those who yell "balance" with nothing to backup their words.

They're saying that because this has already been discussed quite a bit in other threads. And it all does come down to balance, like everything else in this game. IF, and I do say IF it were to be done, it would need some sort of severe penalty, such as it taking up perk category 2.

Perk 2 may be the answer then, no need to rule it out completely. Of all the perks, 2 would be the most severe to lose. If that's what it takes, so be it. This is all in theory anyway, and most likely this game will remain a nicer version of CS.

I think i speak for all here...

Just leave this game and go back to CS. No one here wants to have CoD4 to be a ''nicer version'' of CS. Just let them all be their own games and don't base everything on your holy CS.

The developers are trying as hard as they can to balance this game out and having more then one weapon attachment would screw up all the balancing they've made from the start!

                    Just think about that.....idiot...:shakehead

I think you need to re-read my post. This game is basically CS right now. Run/Gun don't stop unless you play HC (which I do). I personally do not like CS hence why I referred to the normal TDM of this game as a nicer CS. It runs better and looks nicer, but in the end victor goes to the mindless rusher with martyr. If I had my "Holy" anything it would be a new version of Rainbow Six Rogue Spear. Being former military I like them tactical.

Wolf, please read thoroughly before posting though. I've lurked in these forums since the BF2 site first opened. You like many appear to focus in on one word, then make an irrelevant post about it. From our lovely conversations I think we do have one commonality, we don't like Counter Strike. :salute:

If you let them have all attachments w/o taking a perks slot, that would lead to everyone taking the same loadout, like everyone else said. In AA, everyone with the M4 is pretty much ACOG 4x, M203, and suppressor.

I don't know much about the perks, but a suppressor sounds like a okay perk that would be balanced with the others.

Agreed. Some other games have taken a different approach on balancing the silencer. Rainbow Six for example makes it almost useless on 90% of rifles, there in no one uses it... The silencers in this game are among some of the most balanced and usable I've seen. I'd gladly give up a perk 1, 2, or 3 slot to equip it with a scope.
