server cfg file MOTD not working

Just got new server up and running trying to get the scroll message to work but it seems to be not functioning right this is the way i have it right now



set scr_motd "hello"

and nothing happens dose anyone have any ideas the server company is trying to figure it out but not having any luck so far?

Ive tried to do the same and from what I have read on a number of forums is that it is broken.

I think I've seen this mentioned before...that you need to adjust another setting as well. I know it is running properly on some servers I've played on.

Try also setting this for starters:

set g_motd "hello"

and see if that makes it work. If not, I suggest you try searches at the forums at www.infinityward.com then the COD4:MW PC section. You'll probably find your answer there.
