.... i'm addicted

Well, after months of not playing BF2, i finally gave in to my urges and played a whole round last night.

After i bought CS:S and CoD4, i thought i was over BF2 but, whilst they are both very good games, they just don't have that same appeal that draws you back every week.

I just missed the thrill of whoring in my J10 on Wake or having TV missile fights 300ft up.

No other franchise will ever come close to offering what BF2 has. And, i know the game has a lot of nay-sayers, but only after not playing it for a while do you really realise quite how good it is.

Same here. Bought CoD4 thinking I would be saying goodbye to BF2 forever, but two weeks later I'm back. yeah, there are things about CoD4 that I enjoy, but it seems to be full of random, knee jerk kills without any element of strategy or teamwork. I gotta have squads and a commander.

same thing happened to me, i switched to cod4 for awhile but i find myself booting up bf2 more than ever now ;x there is nothing else like the game with 64 player battles..... the only game i see coming out that may compete with this is "frontlines: fuel of war" which comes out in feb. and is designed by some members of the DICE team that made 1942

You bet. Unlike most nade spammers on Karkand, I get a squad together and create havoc with the MEC forces. About half the time the MEC commander has his **** together and makes it a challenge for us, but using squad based teamwork and having a commander spot for us, 9 times out of 10 we'll have MEC's factory under control. Great fun and beats the crap out of just throwing nades.

nah. i truely believe if u have MEC guys who care a tiny bit about winning, USMC has no chance in IO karkand.

Trauma Studios created Desert Combat for BF1942 and they worked on BF2 up until EA fired them or something along those lines. Trauma Studios is now known as Kaos Studios and they are creating Frontlines: Fuel of War, so they were never members of DICE that made BF1942.

alex i have done the same as you on numerous occasions. at one point i didnt play it for like 3 months. then i just couldnt stop playing it. the longer you leave it, the more you realise how good a game it really is, urging yourself to return

Well, to break your BF2 addiction, uninstall it from your computer, break the cd, and get rid of any mini images of it, haha.

I dont think i could ever do that...i have like 4 bf2 discs...because they kept on braking or i lost them or theyre CD keys...so i kept on buying it over and over..lol..i love BF2
