How do I turn off the annoying helper?

I've looked a lot in options and I can't find anything on it. But I've been playing for awhile and I don't need the reminded every once in awhile that "move the mouse to move your sights" and "press R to reload" and it's just an annoyance now. How do I disable this god forbid assistant?

I am not positive how to turn it off in options, but i remember the tip dialogs turning off after playing like 3 rounds. Try playing a little more.

I've played for the past 3 days, I've played around 20 or so rounds. They go away after awhile but they start again whenever I start BF2 up again.

In the Audio Settings in the game, go to the "Voice Over" slider and move it down to zero.

        No more annoying pointers.

They should eventually just go away. You just have to put up with them until then.

Go to the General.con file in your active profile and replace the entries at the beginning that start with "GeneralSettings.setPlayedVOHelp", if any, with the entries in the attachment.

I think you just have to do everything, like for example, if you have been playinng for a year, but havent been near a ladder yet, it will still tell you too "Walk up to the ladder to climb" but if you have done that it shouldnt tell you again

yep, amfohr is correct. do an advanced search with my name and general.con and you should find other posts about it.

thats the slider that tunes down everything in game so you can hear the guy talking VOIP.

And by the time you've done all of this, they will have probably stopped.
