hm its like na mp44 :)

much recoil, no upgrades its oke when you play some time but i dont use it often.

mp44 was the best weapon in all COD Parts so its just for the community.

It's ok. Fires pretty slow so Double Tap is recommended. You can't get unlocks for it, so no reflex sight, silencer, ...

You can get camos for it like every other gun and you need the camos to complete all challenges for the golden AK-47. Oh and blue tiger looks teh sexXeh on it

Yea thats part right, thats why they brought out the AKM, which is just a 47 with modern bits slapped onto it, i think its the original design in COD4 tho.

The M16 is based on the AK-47, which is based on the MP44. Might as well get down to the roots. :p

It's not a bad gun really, apart from it's slow rate of fire, and no ability to use any attachments. I like to think of it as an AK-47 with a slower rate of fire. It'll be the last AR I use, mainly for the challenges.

Wish they brought in a Mosin-Nagant too though.

Also, on the subject of old guns, the W1200 Pump Shotty is from the 1960s.

The M16 on the other hand, is no where as close to as reliable as an AK in extreme conditions.

I have seen an AK being run over by a Hummer into wet mud, and it still fires.

I think the AK47 is included due to the fact its readily used in todays modern era, whereas the Mp44 is, as other have said, just homage to WW2 CoD's.

One of my guild mates loves the gun and I picked it up off his corpse last night when I was out of ammo. It really should have been an easter egg tied to some special challenge or something like that. There are so many other worthy modern assault rifles they could have put in there.

It wasn't a "bad" gun, but yeah, everything it does, another gun does better. And no attachments. That said, this game really is more about how you play then what gun you use. In spite of there being better guns, my friends does just fine with the MP44.
