I just installed BF2142 in a new PC with a 24' wide LCD on a 8800ultra. For some reason, the game only shows a max resolution of 1024 x 768. Anyone else run into this, and figure out why it does this? Also, I tried putting in a forced rez in the .exe file .... loads fine, but then once a map has loaded, it looks like punk is kicking me...saying I am using a modified client. If I remove the forced rez from the command line in the .exe file, the game runs fine, but only at 1024 x 768 with a maximum AA choice of 2x. HELP!>!!?!#$@$@!

Are you putting the rez line in the 2142.exe or its shortcut. Make sure you are only altering the shortcut.
2142 does not support widescreen resolutions.
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142Pace.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 960
^^Have you tried changing the fullscreen to widescreen? I saw someone suggest this elsewhere. I dont have a widescreen so I have never tried it. -

Yes, I am altering the command line in the shortcut.
I have not tried changing fullscreen to widescreen though...worth a shot right? And yeah, I know the game does not support widescreen...but I have heard of people putting in widescreen resolutions and the game would just stretch it. I'm ok with that...but I can't even get that far. I've tried installing different drivers also, no luck there either.
