Hi, I was not having issues with 2142 since I first owned it with all the patches. I've had it since release date. I was running 1.25 fine and then it prompted me to update so I went and downloaded the 1.4 patch 376MB file. I attempted to apply it and at 98% or so it said Patch Failed. Then I tried to play with 1.25 and it said I had modified files and would not let me join servers.
So, I un-installed the whole game and registry files etc. I loaded fresh from the disk and attempted to do what someone else with the Northern Strike expansion said to get to 1.4. They said to load
1) the game
2) Northern Strike
3) 1.4
They said that worked. Well this failed on my system. Because northern strike said I needed at least patch 1.2 to install it. So, I unloaded game again and tried to load directly to the 1.25 patch. The 1.25 patch would keep re-installing over and over so I had to kill the process.
Do I need to load every sequential patch from the beginning again? These are all the patches I've found.
