I've changed all my settings EXACTLY like yours and my weapons still don't shine like that. They still don't shine at all. I've also tried turning extra things on, hell I've turned EVERYTHING on and to maximum (including refresh rate and resolution) and still NO SHINE!!

So what the f*ck is up with that?!

Mine shines too... Specular map on, nothing else. Textures set to automatic, Low Dynamic lighting, Medium model detail, 1280x1040, 70Hz, no AA (nVidia automatically does 2xAA) Soft Shadows.

I'm no expert, this is just a speculation, but the X800 is a bit of an older card...it may not be able to render the "shine" effect. (?)

I have settings lower than all of you and I get that shine. Just fired up an LAN to make sure, and it's there. I have an ATI X1600.

i have all my settings to high and get about the same as Spike does, i also have an ATI X1600XT

It could be because of the shaders... im not sure though..

The X1600 cards supports shader model 3.0...

mine has all of a sudden started shining, maybe its because i cleaned it more often.....

lol dood.. My just started to Shine.. I just made Texture Filter to Auto instead of Trileanar.
