XFX GeForce 8800GT 512MB PCIE Alpha Dog XXX Edition got a bugit of £150 for a new card can get this for £150.

I've actually been researching this card myself.

Yes, it is a very good card, especially for the price. It actually outperforms the older 8800GTS models (both 320MB and 640MB), although Nvidia corrected this by making a slight change to the GTS cards (increased their Stream Processors).
