avi, mpg to DVD software?

Can anyone suggest a good program that will allow me to cut my edited movies to DVD's that will play on Stand-Alone DVD players? I have tried a few demo's but the video quality...sux

Are pretty good choices, I have also tried many other programs but they cannot compete.

total video convertor. converts anything to anything. now how about you tell me what u used to edit your videos. my thread is right below this one..

Used it for years to burn custom and full movies to DVD. Has some nifty customisation options.
