Server help wanted

I am trying to get my COD4 server up and play at the same time. I get it up and none of my friends can see it, why? I set it up as a none dedicated and still nothing. How can I get my server up. I have a 20 mg down and 5 mg up. that should be enough to use a server for a small group, no?

Are you giving your friends your public IP address or the local IP address on your LAN?

You have to make a dedicated server for ppl to see it on the internet or the browser,and join.
