    The MP44

I'm rank 53 so I just unocked the MP44. I find this gun to be awesome with bandolier, stopping power, and steady aim perks. I don't think it is the best gun in the game the M4, M16, MP5, and P90 are all great guns but I think the MP44 is the most enjoyable and satisfactory gun the game has to offer. What's better than getting a 25 kill streak with a gun made in World War 2? I love the iron sights on this gun and have only used it for a few hours and have 30+ headshots but it isn't a great CQC weapon(haven't tried it with double tap yet but I think the recoil would be unbearable). Does anyone else think this gun is awesome?

The MP44 in CoD2 was awesome. This one, however, is not. It's basically a nerfed AK47. I'm not saying it's bad, but IMO it's the worst gun in the AR class.

It is kind of cool that they put it in as a crossover/homage to the WWII COD's though. It basically was the first real assault rifle ever made. I haven't seen too many being used on the battlefield in this game yet, but have come across a couple people with them.

I was excited to see it, but very disappointed with the MP44s performance. :dead:

It was good in the right game type, but it was way too heavy and slow for a run a gun tdm.

Ive only used it once on this game, will have another play soon

I think its just an unlockable classic, put in for the COD1/Uo and COD2 players.

Would have prefered a rifle, Lee Enfield, Mosin or Kar would have been really nice :)

I'd be happy with having two of the modern bolt-action sniper rifles currently in the game as UNSCOPED rifles (ie. with ironsights instead). This would let people have the rifles-only servers as in past COD's.

                    I LOVE RIFLES ONLY.

                    I'd play that non-stop...

I would have loved a kar

The clan i was in for cod2 had a duel weapons mod, the kar and tommy were my weapons of choice :)

Its not that bad, but its not that good either.

I have it and tried it a few times on a server. I decided to go back to my other guns after a round or two. I prefer something with a little higher ROF.

i would have preferred a garand that was comparable to the m16 but with more stopping power.

Well, that greatly over simplifies the truth. The M1 was the base used to develop a more advanced rifle. That rifle became the M14.

Here's the story of the M14 on Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M14

My unit used M14 as basic sniper rifles issued to all Scout/Sniper teams. Why? Because of it's incredible mid range accuracy and the fact that it could be used as an assault rifle as well by simply removing the scope.

It has had a very long life and continues in service today.
