G3 appreciation

I'm basically a dedicated M16 ho, but I gave the G3 a run yesterday (attached with reflex sight), and you know, I've changed my opinion of it being a crap gun to it being a damn good gun. With stopping power, it's a two shot kill to the chest against non-juggernaut (three with), its recoil is controllable if you're patient, and it's pinpoint accurate. The single fire makes it suck in CQC but you can still kill people CQC quickly (two shot kill) if you're prepared.

It still doesn't beat the M16 one burst kill, but I think it's a damn good gun. In fact, since the M14 is a two hit kill (with stopping power) non-hardcore, I think the G3 is better than the M14. It's still a two shot kill, it's recoil is much lighter, and its rate of fire is higher. G3 ftw.

yep i love the G3, though i've used as many different weapons as i could, trying to find something that i liked more then the others, though i like them all for different reasons

havn't got the M14 yet so i cant compare, but even though its single shot it still can easily hold its own in CQB

The way I see it, the G3 does essentially the same thing as the M14 (Accurate two shot kills) except it has less recoil and shoots faster. Yeah, the M14 is hits harder, but it's still a two shot kill.

I like the G3 when used with Stopping Power and Steady Aim. I like the M14 a little more, though.

Try adding the mouse scroll wheel to the fire primary weapon in the controls menu, then you'll love the G3.

Yep, didn't start liking the G3 until after I made that little tweak. I love the G3 in Hard Core mode.

In arcade mode, yeah, the G3 has everything over the M14, but get hardcore and it lacks power for long range one shots. It can't effectively be silenced and retain it's main purpose, long range assault. The M14 has more power from the start, so it keeps it's strength, even when silenced.

I first started using yesterday and i immediately loved it. Everything about it is amazing: range, damage, accuracy, resulting in a 1 shot kill from a long distance!

I like the G3 alot, but frankly the sights and the range doesn't compare to the M14, and when it gets any closer I will pull out an M16A4, I'm only using the G3 to work toward the gold AK.

(BTw does anybody have the gold AK yet?)

I find the G36C just as affective as the G3. I will try it agian next time I play but I really don't see the G3 as such a big deal, but like I said I will give it another chance after reading this post.

and how can u peeps say its shoots faster than the M14?? its nowhere near, M14 can fire like a auto machine gun

for the more pro members that only need to rely on the 1 bullet to kill, then the G3 is the gun!

M14 is that pro gun then, you can get the one shot kills with it and with it, unlike the G3 its shoots much faster for when you go into buildings. You go into a building with the G3 ur screwed if someone comes near you at close range
