    stat tracking

anyone know of any website or something that will keep more details about your stats rather than just the kills/death that is found within the game?

For the moment stats ARE ONLY recorded on your own PC, no website can access that.

Here's hoping for a stats server! Because of this stupid stat thing I play single player on my desktop and multiplayer on my notebook (I would love to be able to go home and pull out my M82 on my desktop and enjoy you dying on impact on my 8800GTX, not a wimpy 8600M GT!).

It is possible to be able to read the stats that are on your machine, if somone would be so kind to create a program to do so that would be great - I expect to see something of the sort in the future :-P. Although it will only really be any good locally.

I DON'T THINK SO!!!! Nobody should be so DESPERATE for stats to alow someone to create a "program" to access files on your computer!!! I LOLED!!!

Apparently , THERE IS A WEBSITE, but it's mostly tracking when you're online, you can do like a clan tracker, etc etc ... You guys could check it out I guess.

The only way to track stats in this game is for a 3rd-party app to poll server logs. Lots of clan servers runs stats for their own servers, using statsgen etc.

cod4tracker does this, but then networks the stats from participating servers. So for this to be accurate for your personal stats, you'd have to only play on servers who sign up with cod4tracker. And for those stats to have any validity in comparison to other players, they too would have to only play on cod4tracker servers.

It's pretty much useless. I mean, if you actually care about your stats you'd want them to be accurate. You are better off getting a napkin and crayon and doing the math for your KDR than to rely on any of the online stats programs.

It is kind of a bummer.. I mean they go and make unranked and ranked server's yet they don't keep stat's it make's no sense. I really think they need to do what the guy in the above post said but or IW to add it in to there server's in a patch so all server's have it.. it would work if they did it like that. then all the stat whores will have there stats and people that don't care about that and just want a fare game can play in unranked server's. that is how I was thinking things would be..

Actually I think it was a smart move on IW's part (even tho it was just a cheap move :p).

Look at the BF series. It is a slave to the ranking system. Almost no one at all runs mods in those games because of it (aside from clan mods), and hence pretty much all the maps come directly from EA. And they don't come very frequently. And for the most part you have to pay to get them. And that splits the players between those that bought the xpacks and those that didn't. It's totally fuct.

That's not to mention that the entire leaderboard of the BF games is chocked with padders. Stats systems for games just blows.

Besides in less than 3 months, no one but the very newest players in the game will give a crap if the server they're playing on is ranked or unranked. Take the whole noobtube discussion. They are very easily modded out by an admin on the server level, without them needing to be nerfed. You can just play somewhere that allows them...or that doesn't.

yeah but you can alway's play unranked.. I mean I know I would half the time.. unless I was playing with a good team or clan ( cant find one but what ever) so I really don't see how it could hurt the game.. I mean sure they will have to support it more and work on anti cheat alot more but that is more work for them so, they prolly are just going to leave it as is..

The only stat that matter is FPM, fun per minute.

I think stats make games better. 'IMO'

I just don't think i can play a game as long if i don't have any stats to compare. Makes it boring.
