why aint my rank going up -.-

im currently master sergeant and my progress to the next rank is full, the next rank is first sergeant and ive looked around and i need basic badges in knifes and stuff, well i got all of the badges needed but my rank didnt go up, anyone know why? first sergeant looks so much better and i want the rank
