Enemy titan just... a... little... too far away to pod to?

just found out this neat trick. it's especially infuriating when shields go down for both titans and they're just out of podding range so anyone who tries to pod ends up dying when they hit the hangar shields.

what i did was to land on the scaffold of the enemy hangar and walk on it towards the titan roof.
i don't have specific pics but here:

if you keep hitting the shields cos your titan is too far to the left, aim and land on either of the 2 angled scaffolds that kinda support the shield up... dunno how else to put it =/

    crude acsii art, side view:

    ...............................______(titan roof)__
    ........__(LAND HERE)__l...........................l
    ......./.................................................. .\___________
    ....../.(inside enemy hangar)........................(vents here)
    ..__/
    /

EDIT: argh whyyyyyy doesnt acsii work >< all the dots meant to be spaces

Only the EU titan has those things in the shields. Didn't realize the titans were designed differently until a few weeks ago.

...?! you mean the PAC titan doesnt have those?
then does the shield just wrap around the hangar by itself =\

Next time you play titan, look at the titan shield and you will see. The decks are different as well, one has stacked crates and the other one doesn't

yea the crates i know, makes jumping up a tad harder. will check the chield part again though.
          ohwell. a faction-specific tip then =/

Also, on the bit where the vents are, the boundaries at each side are sloped on the PAC titan so you can walk up them to get onto the top part but this isnt possible on the EU one. There are sometimes crates in the middle of the EU one though so you can jump on those to get up.

they both have the supports on each side of the titan hangar shield, the pac ones look different, but they are there.

i can get from above the engines to the back of the titan, everyone else just seems to get stuck there. it would be difficult to teach without showing you though

                    ^other way around.

You can't get up from the PAC hangar.

well one titan has crates on its back so you can jump up, the other you need to jump-prone onto the walls then doublejump up the slope to get up.
i've managed to get from above the engines (if you call those engines) to the back of the titan too. i saw 3 people stuck there once when i landed beside them, so i said follow me and i hopped onto the titan. 2 of them didnt make it and called me hax o.O

You guys better have a good aim at where you land. That's a pretty narrow strip of safe ground between electrified death.

                          still, better than nothing.
in that game i must have landed there at least 12 times, died twice only. titan podding is rather simple.
