Back to BF2 [Reasons]

Hey guys,
Recently I've been extremely active on the Total CoD4 Forums. CoD4, great game, hit detection is loads better than Battlefield 2, ghillie suits actually work, and you can upgrade your guns.

However, the gameplay is just too limited for me to stay playing that game. I remember doing formation paradrops with my clan in Battlefield 2, or putting together a raiding squad on Gulf of Oman. I could do neither in Call of Duty 4.

In Battlefield 2 I could have my clan request an airstrike on a target, and I could come in and annihilate the target - what a rush. I couldn't do that in Call of Duty 4.

So, I'm back. Anybody want to fill me in on any changes? (I only stopped playing for a few months, so I am aware of the patches) Any news on mod releases?

That's just my perspective - and I'm glad to be back.

By the way, I played a quick round, and the community in Battlefield 2 is so much easier to kill

i left for a few months too but that was for other reasons and im coming back soon too...im excited to come back there really is no other game like this.

patches are you serious? my friend they've stripped everything! 2 new patches in 1 month hit detection is unbelievable you can now carry 3 clays instead of 2 the j-10 is now not unbeatable 4 new infantry based maps like karkand also new whiny *** button where instead of a kick vote you have a whiny *** vote and the person gets spammed with mssgs. after they get disconnected from the server about being a whiny *** and tells them to stfu

Me too, i dont know if is it just me or sumthin cuz I played Cod4 for like a month now and I am already bored with it. So I'm coming back to BF2 for the same reasons as you are. Though I think the game engine of COD4 is awesome, wish BF3 would be better

HOLY **** its one of the greatest parts of the game. non stop action from start to finish and its very emotional, if IW did 1 thing right with Cod4 it was single play

^^ Yeah, all my old BF2 friends are now playing it. But it just doesn't have the freedom that I look for in games. While it is seriously fun, and I still have it installed, it doesn't give much room for experimenting.

COD4 is more of an alternative game stlye to BF2, not a succesor imo, though i truly love it (cept the rankings are too damn easy)

once i've played a fair bit of COD4 ( i dont get much chance as it is) i'll probably come back to BF2, as i want my stars!!!!

same here.
I do like COD4 but it is getting old fast. My killing ratio is about 2 to 1 in it so I'm doing fine but there is only so much you can do it. My clan is joining COD ladders so we play bunch of scrimms and we will see how is competitive play.
BF2 is still fun and I share my time between 2 games.
