How will this rig run BF2?

2GB of RAM is a definate requirement to play BF2 on all high.

BF2 is EASILY playable on all medium with only 1GB of RAM.

With the computer in my sig (minus 2GB of RAM) I would lag when trying to play on all high. But on all medium, I would get 50+ FPS. Now, with 3GB (although, 2GB is just as good), I can play on all high at 50+ FPS with no lag whatsoever.

btw, BF2 only takes up 900mb+ of RAM when the settings are on all high. If BF2 took up 900mb on any setting, then there'd be no way my brother could play on all low on his pentium 4 2.0ghz, 756mb RAM, 5200FX

BF2 has been out almost three years, i am sure any pc released nowadays will run it.

I would not say that at all. TigerDirect has great PC'S At great prices for surfing the web and email but thats it. Most of the cheap systems from $400.00-$500.00 are that price because they give you 512mb-1gb ram which is not enough for BF2 At all as you really need 2 GB. And the intergrated graphics is a dead giveaway to stay away if your a gamer.

actually 1 gig of ram is fine for BF2. I run it in all high with 1 gig of ram. I guess it just depends on whether or not you know that not all ram is the same.

Yeah, it really only depends on your RAM's clock speed and timings. But for any normal everyday person, 1GB of DDR2 800Mhz RAM on a crappy motherboard with a video card earlier than Shader Model 2.0 and an extremely outdated CPU...

Cynic knows what he's talking about. If you come here asking if a computer will run BF2...you're most likely not in the know, and not buying good or decent parts. For the future, plan to spend at least 800 dollars on a system that will play BF2 decently.

7600gt is about the slowest and cheapest card that will play bf2 well. and you may as well have 2gb ram, most games use more than 1gb now..
