no you GTFO, no one said he could not run it with one gig, he mentioned to run it smoothly, yes there will be lag ok, several minutes of it at the start of a round, and several more minutes of map loading before that, BF2 is proven to use over 900+ of ram while in use by itself, that does not include your O/S or any programs you have running, if you want to spawn in before the 10 minute mark get 2 gigs, 1 gig of ram in a gaming PC just does not make sense anymore, especially with vista using a gig unto itself.
How will this rig run BF2?

He's not joking, my friend runs all high with 4x AA and 1280x1024 res with a 6800 GT, 2 gb ram, and a intel pentium d 3.2ghzGod ppl are stupid... 1 gig of DDR2 RAM is enough to run BF2. Just dont turn on AA and you wont lagg at all. I have a GeForce 6800 and 2 gigs of RAM, and i run BF2 on all high without any lagg at all. Same with PR, and it needs a better PC than BF2 to run it smoothly. So pleace, if you know a sh*t about computers GTFO. M'kay?Comment

BF2 takes 950Mb of memory retard. If you have absolutely nothing running in the background, maybe. For people who actually use their computers, it's retarded to play BF2 with 1Gb of memory, especially now that memory is so cheap. Look idiot, other people who know what they're talking about are backing me up, and no I'm not 13. I'm 19. I play college football. My IQ is 141. I got a 2100 on the SATs. I was 9th in my class. Also, I'm a thousand times better at this game than you are. Me > you. Go cry in a corner.Comment

I thought... "Oh howww niccee... everyone's helping out this guy *pause*"
Then I saw gunner's post and then read the rest and was all like
Dude you need to calm down... bad day on the gridiron? All that boasting went to waste because no one cares about other people's actual lives on the internet anyway... for all we know you live in your mother's garage and eat wing dings all day.Comment

The only things i've got running in the backround is Norton, MSN and Creative MediaSouce Player. What elce do you need..?

Some ppl dont have that much money and would rather spend it on other things. And you dont really need more than 1 gig to play BF2 since you wont lagg if you turn off AA.

Wrong, your 14, dont have a life, your balls just dropped, your IQ is 57 and you had to go 7th grade 3 times. The only thing you do in BF2 is guiding TV missiles with a macro, wich is so easy that a 6 years old kid would probably manage it.Comment

------ The fact that you use Norton further solidifies your idiocy. Nod32 > Norton. That being said, I have Trillian, Winamp, Firefox, and Xfire running in the background. I also run uTorrent which takes up 200mb of RAM because I seed 200+ torrents of high definition movies. Like I said, for people who actually use their computers, 1Gb is not enough.

Good game. You're defeated on all grounds. Stop posting.Comment

Because everybody's questions here are dumb, it seems like 80% of the posts are written by 10 year old kids who can't put together a cohesive, coherent thought, and there's about 10 duplicate threads on each page.
Don't you think it's dumb that there are 4 threads on the front page that are people crying about hackers?
Don't you think it's dumb that there are 3 polls on the first page all asking what gun is your favorite?
There's a search button for a reason, so you don't clog up the forum with pointless questions and pointless crying about the game's hacking community. You can't stop people from hacking so quit bitching about it. Everybody likes the G36, the RPK, and the AK101. Everybody knows that there are people that statpad and EA doesn't care about it so posting it here won't make a difference. Everybody knows that admins abuse their powers and EA doesn't care about it. Unless you make a thread to petition the use of that particular server (as I did) it's pretty pointless.Comment

It's a matter of common sense. I don't want to come here and wade through 4 pages of idiocy to find one decent post. The admins here need to a better job of weeding out the people that post false information and cry about the same things over and over and over again.
I've been spamming the forums the past 3 days to try to get somebody to realize it. I figure if I can point out half of the ridiculously dumb stuff that goes on here, somebody might do something about it, since the admins here are supposed to care.Comment

*Sigh*
Make a thread about it then. You'll just get a giganto flame fest in ONE thread instead of spread out over ... a good 5+ threads.
I don't see too many admins around on TBF2, but they're there.
I'm out, looking forward to seeing that cooloroonie flame fest thread later. Have fun getting rid of all the immaturity on the planet.Comment

I've seen admins post in most of the threads I flame in. I'm in flame wars all over the place to increase the chances of it being seen.Comment
