How will this rig run BF2?

that system will run bf2 ...
but a problem with this: - Video: Integrated VIA Chrome9 IGP Graphics Controller
and the card you chose isn't that great...
but it will play fine if you lower some ingame settings and the video settings on that card.
If you gonna buy that barebones I would buy a better graphics card.
with this on that motherboard:
Slots: 1x PCI-Express x16 slot; 1x PCI-Express x1 slot; 2x PCI slots
you will not be able to crossfire or dual run and dual settup on your video...
might reconsider the motherboard... so you can eventuall upgrade to dual cards....
you only have 1 x16 pciEXPRESS slot....
you will NEED 2 x16 pci-EXPRESS slots to dual ....
ATI OR NVIDIA....
and if you gonna eventually upgrade to TWO cards ... on your pci-Express slot ...
you might wanna get a 400wt or more power supply.... -
7300= lose
it runs on low, but it's fine in my opinion. if you haven't played on higher settings, you won't know.Comment

thats a great computer for that price but if you bought of of tigerdirects barebones...
you might spend about 200 bucks more but be able to upgrade it later and it will save you money in the long run....
you want a motherboard that supports up to 4Gbs (at least)
and has two pci-express x16 slots....
make sure it can run either intel core duo D
or the one you selected on the quad.
you can build you own custom for only about 200 bucks more that has more upgrade options and is much better than that selection.
mwillin0000 is correct on that ... but read my post before his ....
ya might want to consider building your own...
you really need two x16 slots on your motherboard and one that supports up to 4Gb of 5200 or better RAM...Comment

Jesus Christ. You're an idiot. I hope you never play BF2.
Thanks for letting us know that you have a 10/10 LAN, A KEYBOARD AND MOUSE THANK GOD YOU HAVE THAT, your 300W PSU is probably garbage, you need at least 2Gb to play BF2 and be pleased with the performance.

God ppl are stupid... 1 gig of DDR2 RAM is enough to run BF2. Just dont turn on AA and you wont lagg at all. I have a GeForce 6800 and 2 gigs of RAM, and i run BF2 on all high without any lagg at all. Same with PR, and it needs a better PC than BF2 to run it smoothly. So pleace, if you know a sh*t about computers GTFO. M'kay?HOW HARD IS IT TO ****ING TYPE IN GOOGLE "battlefield 2 system requirements"

Why does everyone say he NEEDS 2 x16 slots? I don't know anyone personally who runs in SLI or crossfire. One guy did have SLI 6800s and now has a single 8800 GTS 640MB. Dual-card solutions don't make sense at this point in time. Either the benefits don't scale with the price, or the drivers and game support suck. You spend twice as much on cards and have to get a huge PSU, and you don't see double the performance. Last I checked there wasn't an SLI or crossfire setup that got better frames than an 8800 GTS, GT, or GTX that costs less than a single one of those cards.
I see no reason for a normal gamer to spend extra on a feature they will likely never use.Comment

Yea it's enough to run it. It's not enough to run it well. I've built 20+ computers and I built my computer.God ppl are stupid... 1 gig of DDR2 RAM is enough to run BF2. You do realize that you said 1Gb of ram is good enough and then say that you have 2Gb and it runs without any lag. No sh*t? You have 2Gb of RAM retard.
When YOU know something about computers post. And when YOU understand how to put together a coherent sentence and don't contradict yourself ("so pleace if you know a sh*t about computers gtfo") not only can you not spell a word like PLEASE, you basically said IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT COMPUTERS, LEAVE. Good game moron. Step to me when your IQ is above 50.Comment

i was about to say the same thing until a say gunners post. couldn't have said it better.
also did anyone read that companies quote on their ram?
CybertronPC only uses Micron, Samsung, Infeneon, or Hynix Memory in their gamers… and for good reason. More problems are associated with memory than with any other component. So CybertronPC leaps over the competition by using Cream-of-the-Crop hand picked memory for all their gaming systems. High-performance computing requires high-performance memory.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:: laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
they are bragging about cream of the crop ram, when all the ones they mentioned are considered the lowest grade ram you can buy, the ones that are always OEM and sell for cheapest at any pc store because they are crap. heck some of those brands don't even have DDR2800 because they arent stable enough.Comment
