Shotguns are amazing in Hardcore mode, especially on FFA. Line it up with Double Tap for the Pump Shotgun or Sleight of Hand for the Auto Shotgun, and you've got a monster of a weapon.

On the map Pipeline there is a tunnel system linking many different buildings together. Explore it sometimes to get safely and secretly from on place to another.

The Tunnel System in Pipeline is also a great way to get Shotgun and other Close weapon kills, should any enemies begin to think smart.

How about I sum this up with "Map Knowledge" ?

Fire up a local server and explore each map. There is no substitute for actual game time with people shooting at you, but you should always know the basic layout of a given map.

The second part of this is know each game type and how it plays on a given map. Domination, S&D, Sabotage, etc... Know where the objective points are, how to get from "A" to "B" and what paths your opponent is likely to take so you can defend.

This really goes for any FPS game, but it bears repeating.

now, whenever you are teamkilled, simply hit f1 to state your feelings :)

"/bindlist" and "/unbind [key]" help with knowing what you have binded and removing one or more.

When you miss a stab, quickly look at the opponent to kill him with the same stab.
The knife stays in the hit position for a half second or so giving you enough time to adjust your aim.
With practice you can keep killing people with the first stab even when you miss at first.

If an opponent is taking cover behind a car, shoot the car until it catches fire. It will explode a few seconds later, seriously injuring or killing the other player(s) if they don't move. If they do run, shoot them.

A Silencer on a G36C hardly shows any negative effects on range.

The G36C shares ammo with the M4 and M16

Does anyone have a list or something with all the weapons and if they share ammo?

The ACOG scope on the G36C has almost no sway at all... ALL other guns have irritating sway with ACOG attached

When you find yourself typing by accident don't press enter we don't want a

Press the ESCAPE key and it removes it quickly.

you can hold stun grenades like a cooked grenade, but they wont blow in your hand. So cook it BEFORE you plan to enter a room so your not in a doorway getting shot.

Don't use a shotgun in a larger hardcore map. (I learned that fast )

If the noob is blocking the doorway, and he wont listen and move so you can get through, Shoot/knife him. You get -5 points for the team kill,but you get 10 per kill.

If you hate a particular weapon, use it yourself until you know it's weaknesses.

Bind your knife to a mouse button, or other key you can hit in an instant.

Bind Primary Fire to your Mouse Wheel and you can fire semi-auto weapons very quickly.

UAV, Air Strikes, and Helicopters carry over from one round to the next if you don't use them.

When in doubt, fall back, circle around, and try another angle. If the enemy knows you're behind a corner, don't stick your head back out. 9/10 times it gets shot off. Don't linger either lest a cooked grenade land at your feet.

Don't always take the obvious path to the objective.

Don't stand in doorways. You're easy to shoot and you block your teammates.

You can detonate a C4 charge by quickly double-tapping your "use" key. This allows you to set the C4, switch to your weapon to defend yourself better, and still be able to blow it up without having the detonator in your hand.

C4 and Claymores can also be detonated by shooting them from a distance.
