I have been seeing it happen more and more.. When I play HQ as soon as the other team as a few more point's then my team, everyone try's to get on the team with the most point's. The game will alway's end up 16 vs 8 or somthing close to that.. It will happen in alot of other game type's to, I had to take a brake from cod4 today for the reason of team stacking. I tryed other server's and other game type's.

I love cod4 but it seem's that most of the ppl that play it, play for point's not fun, team stacker's really rune the game for me.. I had to get this off my chest, thank's for reading. If you have any idea's on how to stop this or know a server in the cali area that ban's team stackers please post..

Once you reach lvl 55, stop playing on ranked servers, and instead move to unranked. You'll find less stats-whoring there, and over time, more long-term players, especially once the custom maps and mods come out.

I think there's reason to be optimistic. I'm already seeing posts from stats/achievement type players becoming "bored". Over the next few weeks or couple months, I think most of them will disappear once they reach lvl 55 and have nothing more to do. That will leave players who are more interested in fun and playing the game properly.

Wow, you are right. I think I will move to a unranked server for now, if I can find one. I live in Hawaii so I had a hard time finding a good server that had player's.

In the meantime, you can also try to look for ranked servers that have team auto-balance on. That will prevent team-stacking at the end of a map.

well the server does have auto balance. I found out how everyone get's around it, if you press esc after you get auto balance you will be able to get right back on the other team.. That is what I mean but "I hope they make a fix" like some kind of setting that will put you on a team and keep you there..

Well my take on team stacking is a little different. Im not very competitive at this game and therefor easy to kill. Mainly because of all the nade and GL spammers. So if there is some guy on the other team that is going like 40-5, i'll switch teams so i can actually have a chance to play the game instead of looking at the respawn screen. i dont care about the points

yeah but everyone want's to enjoy the game, if you know what I mean.. If everyone think's they can just go over to the winning team then this will never stop.. The people that want to enjoy the game by going to the other team ruin it for every other person.. think about it...

If that is ET:QW, CoD4 should implement that as a vote option. Worked wonders in QW.

But yes, I do find the teams very unfair at times.

Same here, I hate teamstackers. I join the weaker team just to go against those fcukers at times. Can`t wait to play on modded servers. Got reset so that`s gonna take a day or two.

Yeah a ranking system like that would work fine for now.. I just wonder if they are even thinking about fixing this.. I think it will be up to the player's, the thing is not much people will listen cuz they think "I am the only one that will do it" but the fact is 10 people will be thinking the same thing..

HQ is one of favorite game types, and yes, this is an issue. All they need to do is change the code for auto-balance though. If the teams are even in number or +1 in either direction to account for an odd number of players, don't let someone change sides.

Mostly I've seen clans doing this where they try to get the whole clan on one side and all the pubs on the other.

And I also agree with what Whiskey said about the stat whores getting bored quickly after they hit 55. The hardcore ones will stick around trying to earn their golden weapons, but many will lose interest until a patch or expansion adds more ranks, guns, or perks.

On the subject of not wanting to be facing the uber player. If one person is that much far and away playing better then anyone else, we kick them. Consider it a compliment to your pwnage skills, but everyone else on the server will enjoy their game a lot more without you there.

This is one area the consoles are actually better with match making by trying to group you with similarly skilled players.
