    Finished the game...AWESOME

This was probably the best FPS I have ever played, and being 39 years old...I have played most of them.

My buddy at work bought the game because I told him how great it was, but is stuck on level 3. I tried to email him my savegames to let him level skip..but that didn't work.

Using the console, I know you can use spdevmap to change the map...but what are the map names to use? I only know bog_a.

Anyone have a full list of map names so that he can skip levels?

    Much appreciated.

Yeah, the single player campaign was one of the best SP's I have played after playing Half-Life (1,2), Doom's and other games I completely forget. lol

Single player was disappointing, main characters were killed off besides Soap. You didn't get to play as the Marines enough either.

Plus, I wanted to drive that M1!

I still loved the campaign, it was fun, it just kinda left me hanging.

Stuck at level 3? Dude, tell your friend to toughen up and fight his way through the level!! He will be drastically reducing the enjoyment he will get from the game if he just skips levels.
Besides, if you did finish your game then you will know what the other map names are. Just look in your install folder under profiles and in your profile name folder under saves. All of the map names will be there.

Loved the fact that the main characters were killed off. Loved it. One of the best parts about the game in fact.

I guess they could have done it like every single other fps ever made and let you be the super man that never dies, you know, totally believable experiences...

Personally, I'll take my gaming with a bit more reality. Just as IW delivered. :)

I agree, it was one of the best SP's i've ever played. Great story line, lots of action, and the main characters dieing off didn't bother me. Plus it was challenging enough to still be fun. The search for VIP at the end was fun too. :p

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there.

What do you mean you didn't get to play as the Marines?!

Doesn't the name Paul Jackson refer to you in some way during play? :p

The fact that the main characters died just make the story have more impact, at least for me.

And yeah, I did kinda wanted to use the Abrams too, but I'm sure IW knew what they were doing.

I love how the single player gave you that very eerie feel that war is hell. A lot of people think war is some "game" where you play as a member of an army of action heroes where you go around killing bad guys and saving the day, getting the chick, and bringing home the pay (Let's be honest, we know why a lot of people go into the armed forces ;p.) The truth is, getting shot at is no game... sh*t's scary, and it takes balls to be able to man up, stick your head up out of your foxhole, and fire back. Mucho respect for soldiers.

I loved how everyone dies. It makes sense. Three SAS members and a Marine Staff Sergeant just fought through an entire army to kill two dudes. Sure, their training rocks... but do you really expect them to live when they have been discovered and are outnumbered on the field 10,000:1? The MOST badass thing in that game though is when Zahkaev is waltzing down the bridge, executes Gaz, and Price slides you that pistol in his dying moment. Badass to the max.

I just wish either Gaz or Price (not both) had survived though since it kinda ruins any chance of a sequel or anything :/

SP was medicore, nothing compared to other games I`ve played.
It was too short and gunfights were boring as hell. I only finished it to find out what happens in the end.

Only the SAS missions were somewhat enjoyable, marine ones just sucked balls and were generally s*it. They should have left that part out and made more SAS ones.

                      MP all the way.

Agree, totally awesome. I liked being nuked as well. :) Crawling out of the chopper to get a glimpse of the cloud, right before succumbing to wounds...

The one part I didn't like about the killing of Zahkaev though is that if you don't kill the two dudes next to him, they will kill you and you have to replay the part. I thought when I was first tossed the pistol that I was a goner anyway, so I simply unloaded on Z and didn’t even try for the guards.

Kill the baddy and die was what I was thinking, and I liked it. Sort of took me out of the immersion to have to redo it. But oh well, still an awesome scene and great game level.

I gave Zakhaev a quick shot to the dome and unloaded the rest into his two guards.

The Story line, voice acting, action, and what you have to do is just awesome in CoD4, I agree
                            It's a Epic

Crud, can't believe I missed that. :dead:

Well, apart from that, what was dissapointing about the other main characters being killed off? To me it just fueled the need to blow up more tangos.
